Approaching 21

A dead cactus plant, brown streaks from the time I dyed my hair, an end to a relationship, a visit to Ikea for dinner, a newly unexpected friendship, tiramisu and iced coffee from a walking-distance bakery, daily laundry or none at all, eight trinkets on my Kanken, scratches on Dad’s car, a Casiopea vinyl with nothing to play it with, the scent of tea welcoming my every coming-home, six rolls of 35mm, mundane consecutive Gojek rides for 45 days to the north of Bandung, days and nights spent at a now-closed co-working space, a forgotten architecture model that perhaps now rests at the bottom of a garbage dump somewhere in Yogyakarta, a solo public transportation exploration trip in Jakarta, more unread Periplus books, random urges to run or hike whenever I’m feeling down in the dumps, a skylight with its scorching heat at noon above my internship desk, lunches at Gelap Nyawang or far east, an impulsive night ride to Pandu for flowers, newfound category of things to purchase: a handmade pottery teacup and batik scarf!

These shall be the things that mark my 20!
